I was in complete awe of this comic book artist http://diablo2003.deviantart.com/art/Thor-page-and-tutorial-202049831 Mark Brooks- check out his youtube to see a speed drawing, it took him 9 hours to "pencil" and "ink" one Thor comic page... incredible! The most amazing part is it is all digital. I found the pencil brushes he uses and decided to give it a go- this is an incoherent and not anatomically correct arm, but it gets the point across. Definitely needs practice but I will be playing around with them a lot more
Hey man, where did ya get those pencil brushes from? They look great, I've been looking for some for a while that actually look good, but couldn't ever find any.
ReplyDeleteI will find the link for you dude and post it here, in case any one else wants them... This sketch doesn't do them justice and thank you!
ReplyDeleteya I want em too, that is sweet, I feel someday the entire process of creating comics digitally will be the status quo, needless to say I am scared to death
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm curious to see if it will fully take over. I mean digital color is a given, and any more, inking digitally makes sense... There is still something to be said about holding a pencil against a comic board... I'll find that link here in a second
